Explore the Kourtaliotiko gorge

A beautiful tour of 8 kilometers for lovers of nature!

Our walk will start at the Gorge of Kourtaliotis and will end at the palm tree grove of Preveli beach. During the walk you can enjoy the different landscapes and the amazing biodiversity of the area. Enjoy amazing views and the beauty of nature. In the morning the bus will take us to the middle of the gorge from where we follow by foot the stone build steps down into the gorge to the small church of Agios Nikolaos. From here you can admire the water falls. Then, we get to the dam and from there we will proceed with our walk following the path alongside the river, which will take us to the Venetian Bridge.  There we shall have a small break to enjoy a drink in the tavern close to the bridge.

After that, the walk will lead us over hills, dotted with olive trees and later on through the gorge, towards our final destination, the beach of Preveli. Here, there will be enough time to enjoy this unique environment and to relax at the beach.

At the end of the excursion we will all get on the boat that will take us back to Plakias. When weather conditions prevent the boat from sailing back to Plakias, we will be brought back by bus. In this case, keep in mind there’s an extra walk uphill to the parking lot.
