Explore Crete by bicycle
From the southern foothills of the Mount Ida near the village of Gerakari, known for its cherries, we cycle leisurely toward the village of Spili. After we have visited the fountains with the 25 Venetian lion heads, we cycle through the spectacular Kourtaliotiko gorge where the mountain slopes rise on your left and right up to 600 m and from there we go straight back down to Plakias where you can take a refreshing dive.
This tour shows us the geography of Crete: steep mountains and gorges on the south coast that go down into the sea and to an area with more gentle slopes.
A real pleasure downhill!
Distance: 37 km / including 26 km downhill
The tour goes on asphalted roads with small increases. A downhill journey for everyone. For the “experienced” cyclists there are parts where you can ride at your own pace.
The tour includes a guide, mountain bike or trekking bike, helmet, transfer to / from the property and permanent bus service .There is an opportunity to share with the group a lunch when you get to Plakias (exclusive).
